CONGRATULATIONS TO STEEPED IN LUCK ID STALLION ![]() The IDHSC is thrilled to announce that Steeped in Luck is now recognized in the world-wide Irish Draught studbook as an ID Class 1 stallion, with GOLD merit. Steeped in Luck (Eamon) is owned by Keith and Elizabeth Douglas of Pairadox farm, and was bred by James Lee of Co Louth in Ireland. "Eamon" is the first Stallion in North America to be granted Class 1 status through harmonization with the Canadian Studbook. He is also the first Irish Draught stallion, and presently the ONLY Irish Draught stallion world-wide to be granted gold merit based on performance in Dressage. In addition, "Eamon" was named to Canada’s high performance long list for 2012. (Dressage Canada uses the High Performance short and long lists to determine which horse/rider combinations are most qualified to receive financial and other support from Equine Canada that aids in their development to represent Canada in international High Performance dressage competitions.) Congratulations to Keith, Elizabeth and to James. Please go to www.pairadoxfarm.com for more information on this remarkable stallion. |

INSPECTIONS 2011 POSTPONED TO SPRING 2012
IDHSC is proceeding with harmonization with the world-wide Irish Draught Horse studbook held in Ireland. Delays in this process have led the Board to postpone inspections until spring 2012. We apologise for inconvenience to our members, however we believe it would not be in the best interests of our membership (or herd) to adopt new inspection procedures without all harmonization agreements fully and formally in place. If you plan to have your horse inspected, please contact our registration officer, Cheryl Anderson, for more information at registration@idhs.ca . |
